- In 1988, began work as a carpenter - restaurateur, with his father as a professor, Master Firmino Adão Canhoto.
- After finishing his military service in the Infantry Training School of Mafra, specializes in artistic carpentry with Master Firmino Adão Canhoto.
- After several restoration work for private individuals, in 1993 is invited by a very reputable antique dealer in Rua de S. Bento, Lisbon, to work on several restoration of unique pieces.
- In 1994, the invitation was made by the School of Conservation and Restoration, to teach the discipline of Artistic Carpentry. Received praise from several directions, as well as students. Six years of great enrichment and ended tasks in 1999.
- In 2004 and after starting the Restoration of the Historical Organ Box, dated 1787, became interested in partnership the master organ maker, Dinarte Machado, for collaboration in carrying out renovations in historical keyboards. Several work has been done in which highlight is the restoration of historical organs of the Basilica of Mafra, quite honored by it.
- 2006, was awarded the Handicraft Production Unit and Craftsman Card, by the National Commission for the Promotion of Crafts and Craft Micro-enterprise.
- 2006, invitation by the IEFP to be part of the year "The Ages of Sound", this invitation was accepted with satisfaction, having been selected at national level, as the best manufacturer of musical boxes.
- Since 2007, successfully participating in the Exhibitions of Antiques and Works of Art, which is held annually at the Convento do Beato and the Congress Pavilion in Lisbon, where he does live demonstrations of restoration and artistic carpentry.
